The Dog Walker

I've been a walking dog since the day I was born. Well, maybe not exactly since the day I was born. It's true that for awhile there I was a bit wobbly. But, once I got the hang of it, I could walk, run, hop on my back legs and jump up on the dining room table in an attempt to score some white meat on Thanksgiving.

I confess that at first I wasn't all that happy about the collar and leash thing. Now, however, I realize that they are for my own safety. (And the safety of the low-hanging fruit, or as you humans call them, squirrels.)

Over the years, my human has become a pretty darn good dog walker. It's our time to spend together. We talk about the events of our day, politics, trends in organic dog food. Just good old fashioned quality time. Oh. And she usually brings a treat or two. Sometimes she even gives me one.
