Our Commitment to Your Privacy
We will not divulge any information about an individual visitor, member or customer to a third party without his or her knowledge unless required to do so by law, or as part of emergency protocol in which we act in good faith.
Special Note: Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act
Our policies are consistent with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). We will not knowingly request personally identifiable information from anyone less than 13 years of age without requesting parental consent.
Information Collected from Visitors, Members and Customers
We do not collect personal information from visitors. We will, however, record the IP address and create a cookie to allow us to monitor traffic flow. (See “Our Use of Cookies” below for more information.) Members of our birthday clubs are asked to provide information in order for us to fulfill our promise of sending a free birthday card every year. Since so few pets have established credit, let alone credit cards, if you buy from us your human will need to provide information in order for us to properly process the order.
Service Providers
It may be necessary for us to hire Service Providers to provide services on our behalf. These services may include, but not be limited to, answering customer phone calls, responding to customer emails and packing and shipping orders. Service Providers will only have access to the information they need to provide the service. All Service Providers are expressly prohibited from using any and all information provided to them for any other purpose.
Our Use of Cookies
Our sites contain advertisements placed by other companies. Advertising provides two essential benefits: It offsets the cost of maintaining our sites and free offers, and it provides you with additional information and/or products that you may find relevant. To ensure that our advertisers are placing ads that are suitable for and relevant to our sites, they may create a cookie for you if you click on a link. Once transferred to another site, you may check the privacy policy of that site.
Our Use of a Secure Server
We use the most up-to-date SSL (secure sockets layer) technology when processing the information you provide. You can confirm this by making sure the “lock” icon is displayed at the bottom of the web page and that the website address begins with "https". Our online operations are supported by GoDaddy servers and are secured by GoDaddy Secure Certificate Services (up to 256-bit encryption). We have taken the necessary steps to protect electronic data both on our servers and in our physical location.
Updating Your Account
When you join one of our clubs or buy from us, you will be asked to create an account by choosing a password. You will be able to access and update any and all information you have provided by logging into your account any time it is convenient for you.
Mailing Lists
By joining one of our clubs or buying from us you agree that from time to time we may contact you by email or regular mail to inform you of special offers that may be of interest to you. If you choose not to receive notices of special offers from us, please contact us at info@whiskergifters.com.

When we find it necessary to update our Privacy Policy, we will place the appropriate notice on our home page.
